Rod Lache, Managing Director, joined Wolfe Research in 2018 and is currently a Senior Analyst leading Wolfe’s U.S. Auto, Auto Parts, Auto Tech, Auto Retail, and Shared Mobility Research teams. Prior to joining Wolfe, Rod spent 24 years at Deutsche Bank, most recently as Senior Analyst and Managing Director responsible for Auto Sector Research. Rod has been consistently ranked in surveys of Institutional Investors as the #1 U.S. Auto Industry Analyst (#1 in Institutional Investor Magazine’s All-America Research Team; #1 in the Greenwich Survey; #1 in the Seeking Alpha magazine survey). His team is known for innovative research into emerging strategic and technological themes, including early calls on the risks facing U.S. Automakers during the early 2000’s, calls on the emergence of Vehicle Electrification, and research into vehicle Connectivity, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence. Rod graduated New York University's Stern School of Business with a B.S. in Finance and International Business. Rod resides in Florida with his wife and 4 children. He is a Commercially Certificated pilot and flies Piston and Turbine powered Certified and Experimental aircraft.
