Robert D. Farley, CFA
Rob serves as Wolfe Research’s Chief Operating Officer and member of the Executive and Operating Committees. His roles include the development and management of the company’s infrastructure including technology and telecommunications, facilities management, and services coordination.
Rob was one of ten founding employees of Wolfe Research in 2008 originally as a Senior Associate on Ed Wolfe’s transport team, where he was also vital in maintaining Wolfe’s website and research distribution. He was then the firm’s first Institutional Research Salesperson with President Peter Ryan from 2008 until 2013. From 2013 to 2016 Rob was a Managing Director in Institutional Services at Strategas Research Partners, before re-joining Wolfe Research in 2016. Prior to Wolfe, Rob spent four years on the transportation research team as a Vice President at Bear Stearns & Co. And previous to his equity research and sales roles, Rob was a Flight Test Engineer at Pratt & Whitney (United Technologies), where he was responsible for engine validation programs with Boeing, Airbus, NASA, the USAF, and various aircraft suppliers.
Rob graduated with high honors with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University where he also played on the Water Polo team and created an online bookstore startup. He is a CFA charterholder, and resides in Connecticut with his wife, Megan, and two children.
