Job Description:

This entry level position will be focused on origination and execution of Wolfe client events, including:

  • Coordination and planning of analyst marketing and travel schedules.
  • Coordination and planning around Non-Deal Roadshows.

  • Coordination and planning around Wolfe Conferences.

  • Managing client contact lists.

  • Managing corporate contact lists.
  • Coordinating with sales.

  • Dealing with Corporate IR teams.
  • Hosting weekly webcasts.
  • Preparing client invites and marketing materials.
  • Preparing spreadsheets to track our yield.
  • Dealing with vendors and third parties.

Job Description:

Wolfe Research is seeking an associate to join the No. 1 ranked Global Pharmaceuticals team, based in New York. As an Equity Research Associate, you will help build financial models, write research reports, and interface with key opinion leaders, institutional investors, company management teams, and internal sales and trading personnel. You will have a high level of responsibility and play an important role as part of the decision-making process for the franchise.

 

Qualifications/Responsibilities (all below are required):

Ideal candidates for the team should have at least three years of direct experience in the area of biopharmaceuticals.  Most members of the team have worked at biopharmaceutical companies at the corporate level, usually in areas such as marketing, business intelligence, medical affairs, etc. Alternatively, candidates may come from consulting firms that have consulted to biopharmaceutical companies, or they may have worked in a similar financial role already either on the "buyside" or "sell-side" in the healthcare/therapeutics space.

 

Education

While many of our past hires have their MBAs, this is not a prerequisite - we are less concerned with a candidate's financial knowledge, and are more concerned that they have a broad-based, solid understanding of the complexities of the biopharmaceutical industry. Many of our previous hires have also held advanced degrees (PhDs, MDs) in a scientific area relevant to the job, but this is not a requirement. 

A solid understanding of Excel, Power Point, and Word are essential, as are good written and verbal skills.

Wolfe Research – Research Assistant   – NYC

 

The Research Assistant position at Wolfe Research is ideal for candidates who have interest in the world of finance and cash equities, or any other fast-paced career path, but are not sure where they might fit, and are also looking to gain much needed experience in a corporate, but entrepreneurial setting. 

 

Responsibilities include traditional administrative tasks such as travel and event planning, expense reporting, phones, and data base maintenance, in addition to including the ability to grow with your teams into project research associate work. 

 

This position provides the unique opportunity to learn about the distinctive roles of sales, research, trading, capital markets, marketing, operations and accounting, in a fast-paced environment of a quickly growing company, while developing a basic general understanding of finance and strong corporate practices including marketing and compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support 2-3 Managing Director or Director level, Senior Equity Research analysts and their teams . Wolfe’s analysts are some of the top analysts on all of Wall Street and they have very large and dominant franchises.
  • Book travel and prepare expense reports, maintain analysts’ calendars, schedule meetings, conference calls and global marketing calendars.

  • Responsible for phone, video and webinar coverage
  • Maintain distribution lists and other data base and excel lists.

  • Coordinate all event related logistics, including catering, audio/visual set-up, providing marketing materials, ground and air transportation.
  • Assist with planning of firm conferences and other marketing events.

  • Assist Analysts with managing personal matters to make work more efficient, when required.

  • When ready for additional responsibility, assist research analysts and their associate teams with overflow research projects, reports, surveys, data compilation, and other tasks.

 

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Daily work within Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 

  • Heavy use of CRM Salesforce.com and other internal data bases
  • Bloomberg and/or FactSet terminal use may be needed for special projects (prior experience not required

Job Description:

The sales function provides the primary client interface for both research delivery and revenue generation. Heavy outbound call volumes, frequent client meetings / presentations and travel are the norm. The sales position requires command of a complex and extensive research product line and the ability to distill the material for use by highly sophisticated institutional investors.

 

Qualifications:

Qualifications include demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication, as well as in personal presentation. Further, a clear track record of drive and high achievement in prior activities, including academics, is essential. Strong general knowledge of markets, valuation of equity securities and the institutional equity marketplace are important. Coursework should include some combination of economics and finance. At least one course in financial accounting and the ability to understand corporate financial statements are required.    Two years of successful post-college employment are the minimum, but we are open to individuals seeking their first Wall Street position. An MBA / CFA is desirable. A strong desire to become a leading client-facing and revenue generating professional is critical to success. The position requires a significant investment of time, focus and effort. The firm will provide training as appropriate. Title: Operations Associate

Overview:

Wolfe Research is seeking a highly motivated, self-starting professional to join its Operations/ IT/ Facilities team. This team supports a growing mid-town New York based firm of 160+ employees. The candidate will work in all facets of the firm's operations, facilities, office administration, technology and compliance needs. In addition, the employee will have the responsibility for pursuing opportunities to enhance and improve automation of internal tasks via Salesforce, Powershell, VBA, and/or Python. Job Description:

IT support consists of providing basic IT/telecom support by becoming part of the firm's internal help desk to the firm's employees, and liaising with the firm's outsourced IT support firm when necessary, including troubleshooting, IT moves, VOIP and trading turret phone issues, website maintenance, monitoring and content management, supporting the firm's client relationship management software and the firm's database and publishing teams. In particular, IT support will involve troubleshooting and improving individuals' use of Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce CRM Sales Cloud.

Automation includes the improvement and enhancement of internal processes in Salesforce and through coding of Powershell, VBA, and/or Python scripts to aide in daily middle- and back-office tasks. This includes communication with internal and external firm technology platforms, such as the website, CRM, accounting systems, and trading vendors.

The facilities responsibility entails basic office maintenance, including managing HVAC, intra-office moves, minor office maintenance and repair and landlord's building services, interaction with vendors such as data providers, and market quotation integrators, as well as serving as intermediary between them and the firm's employees.
