Chief Financial Officer, Managing Director
Mr. Malat is the Chief Financial Officer of Wolfe Research, LLC. Prior to joining Wolfe Research he was Chief Financial Officer at Searock Capital Management, LLC. Prior to Searock he was CFO for Rhombus Capital Management where he created the accounting and operations structure and established the oversight, reconciliation and budget processes from the start-up in 2004, to the time of his departure in 2007. From 2001 to 2004, he held the Chief Financial Officer role at Amgis Global Advisors and ROC Capital Advisors (since liquidated). Mr. Malat was Chief Accounting Officer for Pequot Capital Management from 1998 through 2001. Mr. Malat began his finance career in 1981 at Spicer & Oppenheim and in 1998 became Vice President, controllers group at Oppenheimer & Co. He went on to become Chief Financial Officer for The Zweig Companies in 1989. Mr. Malat earned a BS in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo and is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA and NYSSCPA, along with the National Society of Compliance Professionals. He lives in Warren, New Jersey with his wife, three children and two dogs.
