PACR: Some Signs of Improvement and Stable Outlook

Filed under: Airfreight & Logistics, Ed Wolfe & Scott Group, Trucking

PACR’s stock rebounded 5% after modestly beating low Cons. expectations and reiterating its C13 guidance. PACR reported 4Q EPS of $0.06, above Cons. of $0.05, but below $0.07 a year ago including severance and other restructuring charges in both periods. Free cash flow accelerated to $8M from $3.5M last qtr. and after burning $15M of cash during 1H:13. PACR’s focus on yields and margins over vols seems to be having some initial success and we’re nearing getting closer to either a turnaround or sale of Logistics. And as the 3rd largest domestic intermodal player with seemingly little legacy business left to lose and no signs of liquidity risk, we expect a strategic or financial buyer to finally emerge with the stock at current depressed levels.
