In the week ended 8/3/12, North American auto & truck production reached a 15.1M SAAR as Ford shut down production at Hermosillo, Mexico to begin the changeover for the all new Fusion launching soon. This plant represents about 2.5% of NA auto production. The lower production at Ford last week was offset Chrysler’s Canadian car production (300, Charger, Challenger), where production resumed after summer shutdowns.
