UPS: Reflections on Meetings with Management
We hosted meetings with UPS mgmt at their headquarters. We sense that UPS expects continued below-trend U.S. GDP to continue into next year, but mgmt generally seems comfortable with its prior guidance for U.S. and Int’l vols to relatively improve y/y in 4Q. Pricing trends also appear stable and mgmt expects little net fuel impact in 4Q. We are raising our 4Q EPS by $0.02 to $1.26 vs. prior Cons. $1.25.
